JING'AN
The district of Jing’ An, in the center of Shanghai, is named after the iconic Jing’ An Temple. Jing’An is considered the modern part of downtown Shanghai, but it is not to be confused with the financial district named Lujiazui. The district is home to a beautiful urban and lively environment with many nightlife and shopping opportunities and of course the stunning Jing’an Temple from which the district derives its name.
Jing’An District is one of the most popular areas for foreigners to live as it is centrally located and offers everything expats would need in daily life, such as global cuisines, bars, coffee shops, import supermarkets, bakeries and deli shops.
The main metro lines that go through this district are lines 2, 7, 12 and 13.
